What is MyNavy?
MyNavy is a free, mobile app that provides sailors with the information and resources they need to properly wear and care for the uniforms, components, and accoutrements of the Navy. With this application, sailors will find the information they need to know about the basics, policies, and procedures relating to the Navy’s uniform requirements.
The application is organized in such a way that makes it easy for users to find the information they need. For instance, users can select their rank, or the type of uniform they wear (such as a chief petty officer, sailor, or captain), and the application will display the information they need to know.
Users can also select an optional component, and if they wear that component, it will be displayed for them. Users will be able to see what they need to know about their optional components and what they need to do to care for them.
For the most part, the information contained in the application is easy to understand. There are, however, some policies and procedures that are more detailed and require a bit of research on the part of the user.
